2025 Book
Last November, the UAB Publications Service published the winning works of the 2025 Literary Awards, which were officially presented on 14 November at Institut Gorgs in Cerdanyola del Vallès. Francesc Cabiró Gómez, with Aquell any a Xangxun, won the 31st “Valldaura – Memorial Pere Calders” Novel Prize. David Carreres Lacasa, with the work Allà on t’estime, won the 30th “Miquel Martí i Pol” Poetry Prize. Sergi Félez Navarro, with the work Indòmit, won the 16th “Caterina Albert” Short Narrative Prize for Young Writers.
The same event also included the presentation of the call for entries for the 2026 edition of the awards, which remained open until last February. The different juries for each award category (novel, poetry and short narrative) are made up of prominent figures from the current literary and academic scene, previous winners of the competitions, and people linked to the city of Cerdanyola del Vallès.
