The event will feature the participation of Virginia Luzón, Vice-Rector for Communication; David Vidal, Director of the Master’s Programme; and Joan Carles Marset, Head of the Publishing Service.
This edition will recognise the winning work and will also announce a runner-up. The award distinguishes novelised reports and works of documentary literature that are unpublished and written in Catalan. As part of the prize, the winning author will sign a publishing contract with the UAB Publishing Service, which will publish the awarded work. Both the winner and the runner-up will receive an official certificate.
The 2025 call, open from June to September, has maintained the founding aim of the award —to promote narrative journalism and highlight emerging voices— and has introduced a notable change: the direct collaboration of the Publishing Service, which will take on the publication of the winning work. Since its creation in 2013, the award has become a platform for recognising emerging talent in documentary literature and narrative reporting.
The jury’s decision and the names of the awarded authors will be announced during the event on 17 November.
