The Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) and the Cerdanyola del Vallès City Council will open the registration period for the 2026 edition of the UAB – Cerdanyola Literary Awards on December 12. The call reaffirms both institutions’ commitment to promoting and disseminating literature in the Catalan language.
The awards include the three traditional categories:
- 32nd Valldaura Novel Award – Pere Calders Memorial
- 31st Miquel Martí i Pol Poetry Award
- 17th Caterina Albert Short Story Award for Young Writers
Participants must submit their works through the online form available on the awards website, where the full guidelines for each category can also be consulted. The guidelines for the new edition were presented on November 14 during the event showcasing the winning books of the 2025 Literary Awards.
The 2025 edition —which received 147 submissions— once again demonstrated the vitality of the competition and the growing interest from authors of diverse backgrounds. The UAB Publishing Service has published the winning works, now available in both print and digital formats.
With the new call, the UAB and the Cerdanyola City Council renew their commitment to supporting literary creation and providing spaces where new voices can reach readers. Registrations will remain open until the 6 of february of 2026.
