On the one hand, the IME will present the work at its headquarters (Maó) on 4 May at 7:00 p.m., in an event featuring the participation of the authors and Joan Sales, a footwear ecodesigner, who will present a case of ecodesign applied in Menorca.

In addition, UPF will host a conference on May 13 at 12:00 p.m., where the authors will share the insights from the book with students and faculty from the Chair of Circular Economy and Sustainability. About the book and the authors

Circular Economy. The Path Toward Sustainability was created with the aim of bringing readers closer to the current situation and future potential of the circular economy, taking into account political, social, and economic conditions. The work compiles more than two decades of research, projects, and collaborations with companies, public administrations, and other researchers dedicated to improving the environmental impact of products and production processes. The book was first published in 2025 in Spanish and is now also available in Catalan, in both print and open-access digital formats.

The authors, Joan Rieradevall and Carles Gasol, are affiliated with the UAB through the Department of Chemical, Biological and Environmental Engineering, and are also co-founders of Inèdit Innovació, a knowledge transfer company linked to the UAB Research Park.
